Masca, meaning mask or to hide, celebrates the amazing camouflage exhibited by Australia’s native bird, the Tawny Frogmouth. Easily overlooked for dead tree branches and often mistakenly believed to be an owl, nocturnal Tawny Frogmouths can be found lazing in trees during the day on the Richard Hamilton vineyard properties.
This 12 year old Tawny is one to savour, while considering the historical importance of fortified wines to the establishment of the Australian wine industry and equally to the Hamilton family winemaking story.
